FTUSD Awarded $25,000 for Baseball & Softball Field Upgrades
Ft. Thomas Unified School District is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $25,000 grant from Freeport-McMoRan Community Investment Fund to support major upgrades to the district’s baseball and softball facilities. The award was generously presented by Sean Wenham of Freeport-McMoRan.
This funding will directly support the construction of shade and safety structures over the bleachers, ensuring that families, students, and community fans can enjoy games in a more comfortable and protected environment.
The district is excited to share that a Grand Opening and official naming of the softball facility will take place in Spring 2026, marking a major milestone in ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand athletic opportunities for our students. Ft. Thomas Unified School District wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to Freeport-McMoRan for their continued investment in Ft. Thomas students and programs.
