Miss Indian Fort Thomas Veronica Bonilla, Jr. Miss San Carlos Laura Victor and NACC Sponsor Aurelia Bullis recently attended the “Indigenous Night” event this past Saturday in Moab, Utah. The event was honoring Kevin Costner for his upcoming series called “Horizon: An American Saga”.
Over the summer and last month, Mrs. Bullis had the opportunity to work with Mr. Costner and the native actors from the series, teaching the actors their lines in Apache. Mrs. Bullis, MIFT Veronica Bonilla and Jr. MSC Laura Victor were invited to represent SCAT and FTHS. In attendance were many invited Native Royalties and famous actors including native actors. Mr. Costner was very excited that our royalties were in attendance and complimented them on how beautiful they looked in their traditional attire.

FTUSD is aware of the flooding along the Gila River. We are closely monitoring the water levels. At this time, we expect buses to run as normal in the morning. If circumstances change, we will send out an alert. As always, our students safety is our top priority. Thank you.
